Kardex AutoStore is seeking a motivated self-starter to be in the role of Logistics Consultant. This full time position is to be based in either Sydney or Melbourne and shall report to the Regional Director Business Development APAC.
The Logistics Consultant main target is to support the sales of new AutoStore projects. He works in close collaboration with the sales manager and elaborates the best possible logistics and IT solution to the customer’s benefit. The Logistics Consultant has the skills to convince the customer about the solution and the resulting benefits. He/she coordinates the service providers which are relevant in the sales and implementation processes. In addition, the Logistics Consultant develops and improves standard solutions in order to differentiate from the competition. He/she introduces sales tools and processes. The Logistics Consultant is highly motivated to work in a startup environment and is open for a wide range of tasks at different locations.

Responsibilities
- Support the sales phase from acquisition until contract
- Meeting with clients to discuss their logistics and IT needs
- Assessment of existing customer operations to identify areas of opportunity
- Analysis of customer data to evaluate performance, trends and future requirements
- Creation of optimal logistics and IT solution that deliver customer benefit
- Constant customer communication, maintaining a strong client relationship
- Coordinate internal and external service providers in the sales and implementation phases
- Develop standard solutions (e.g. goods-to-robot picking) to differentiate
- Introduce and improve tools (e.g. calculation, dimensioning etc.) and sales processes
- Support projects in other locations in the APAC region if needed
Requirements
- Motivation to be a key member in setting up a new business (startup environment)
- Entrepreneurial thinking and acting
- Self-driven, result oriented with positive outlook to success
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a similar field
- Proven portfolio of completed projects
- 5+ years’ experience with sales and consulting
- Advanced trouble-shooting skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Clear focus on high quality and ensuring all the customers' needs are met
- Ability to establish effective working relationships across the boundaries
- Experience with sales project
- Detailed understanding of logistics and IT processes
- Willingness to intercontinental travel
