About the role

Our established Community Development team have an opportunity for a Civil Drafter with knowledge within Urban design sector to join us on a permanent basis. Based in Springfield or Fortitude Valley office, this role will see you provide drafting within urban development, land development, master planned communities, high-density developments through to major infrastructure projects.

Day to day tasks would involve :

  • Civil engineering design for land subdivision, road and drainage projects using AutoCAD
  • Preparation of conceptual and detailed design drawings in accordance with statutory requirements and standards
  • Managing deliverables of a project including quality control and the coordination of drafting staff
  • Providing input to the continuous improvement of our design and drafting standards
  • Participate in the delivery of projects and ensure output is of a high standard and within time and cost budget allocations

To be successful for this role you’ll need:

  • Demonstrated drafting experience, ideally within a consulting environment
  • Demonstrated experience using design software including AutoCAD
  • 12D design experience highly regarded but not essential
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Familiarity with local authority and state government approval and regulatory requirements
